Florian Plettenberg has revealed that Arsenal are seriously pushing for the signing of Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, with key discussions already underway. The report suggests that Arsenal’s new director, Andrea Berta, is spearheading efforts to bring the prolific Swedish striker to North London this summer.
Gyokeres: Arsenal’s Top Striker Target?
Gyokeres, who is enjoying a phenomenal season at Sporting CP, has caught the attention of several top European clubs. According to Plettenberg, despite Arsenal’s keen interest, the Gunners are also keeping tabs on Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak. However, Isak’s valuation is proving to be a major stumbling block.
